Why Contact Med City Builders?

If you’re considering building a home, you might be wondering where to start.

We have clients come to us at various stages. Some know exactly what plan they want down to the type of flooring and fixtures. Some aren’t sure if they want a ranch-style or a two-story.

Custom Home Design Plans

Whatever stage you are in, we are more than happy to meet with you and answer questions, so you can make an informed decision. One of the first things we try to accomplish when meeting new clients is to get a feel for their vision – and then we turn the vision into a plan.

Once the plan is drawn up, we adjust as needed until it is exactly what you want.

We have several plans from previous builds that we can show you, but no two houses that we build are ever the same.

We can help get you started and work with you throughout the design and build process.

Contact us today so we can discuss the home of your dreams.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is our contact at Med City Builders of Rochester?
Feel free to contact Andy Cummings or Jenni Jordan

When do we start the selection process?
You will start your selection process as soon as preliminary plans are available. We like to have all selections wrapped up prior to signing agreements to build. We will track all your choices and manage them through the construction process.

Who do I call to change selection choices?
Andy or Jenni

How long with the construction process take?
This all depends on the size of the house and if any changes are made along the way. Once the house is framed, you will be provided with a schedule of construction that will include when the house is finished. Andy can give you an estimate of how long it will take before the schedule is made, but homes under $500,000 are typically done in four months or less.

Can we pick out the sub-contractors to build the house?
We strongly advise to use sub-contractors used by Med City Builders of Rochester. If you prefer to use a different sub-contractor than suggested, it needs to be verified by Andy. Keep in mind that when using other sub-contractors, there are other ramifications with warranties. Ask Andy for details if thinking about using a different sub-contractor.

Are homeowners allowed on the job site?
Homeowners are welcome on the job site. We just ask that there is no interference with the sub-contractors while they are working. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email Andy or Jenni.

Can we do all/some of the work ourselves?
There are certain tasks that Andy will allow the homeowner to do. This must be discussed with him prior to signing contracts. Keep in mind that by doing some of the work yourself, this could result in a longer time to complete the house, as well as affect warranties.
